Q COMM ADDS VOICE INTERNET SERVICE TO QXPRESS PLATFORM
(Orem, UT) - November 29, 2001 - Q Comm International, Inc. (OTC BB: QCCM), a prepaid wireless
technology and information services company, announced today that it has signed an agreement with
InternetSpeech, a San Jose, California-based provider of netECHO voice Internet technology, to distribute
voice-activated Internet service through Qxpress point-of-sale activation (POSA) terminals.
The new prepaid service enables those who purchase an InternetSpeech personal identification number (PIN)
through Qxpress to dial a number and connect to the Internet using any wireline or wireless phone.
Once online, users speak commands into their phones to surf web sites, search for information, and check
and respond to email. InternetSpeech’s netECHO service enables users to get news, weather, horoscopes
and more by translating web-based information and reading it using text-to-speech technology.
The netECHO service is intended
for people who are on-the-go, such as wireless phone subscribers, and those without a computer.
